JKI Returns to GDevCon in 2026 as a Sponsor and Speaker
At JKI, we're excited to announce that we'll be returning to GDevCon in 2026 as both a sponsor and a presenter. This year marks our sixth year sponsoring GDevCon North America, and we're proud to continue supporting one of the most vibrant and collaborative communities in the LabVIEW ecosystem.
Founded in 2017, GDevCon was created to be a conference focused on world-class graphical programming, organized by the community, for the community. As an independent, not-for-profit event, GDevCon brings together developers from around the world to share ideas, learn new techniques, and advance the future of engineering software.
This year, JKI's Sarah Zalusky, Partner and Staff Software Engineer, will share her expertise on secure software development and modern LabVIEW practices at three GDevCon events around the globe:
- GDevCon North America, Chicago, USA | July 21–23, 2026
- GDevCon Europe, Brussels, Belgium | September 22–24, 2026
- GDevCon Australia, Melbourne, Australia | October 27–28, 2026

Shift-Left: Building Secure LabVIEW Systems from Day One
Security can no longer be treated as something that happens at the end of a project. As software-defined test systems become more complex, teams need to identify and address risks earlier during design and development rather than during audits or deployment.
In this presentation, Sarah introduces shift-left security and demonstrates how LabVIEW teams can incorporate security, quality, and compliance into their workflows from the very beginning.
Attendees will learn practical approaches for:
- Embedding security into system architecture and design
- Protecting data and reducing attack surfaces
- Using static analysis and Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) generation to identify risks early
- Integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines
- Building a security culture within engineering teams
The session combines modern software security practices with real-world insights from test and measurement environments, helping teams move beyond reactive fixes and toward continuously improving quality and resilience.
Build it right. Secure it early. Deploy with confidence.

Build it right. Secure it early. Deploy with confidence
As software-defined test systems continue to grow in complexity, ensuring security and reliability can no longer be an afterthought. This session explores how LabVIEW teams can adopt a shift-left approach to embed security, quality, and compliance directly into the development process from day one.
We'll cover modern best practices for developing secure and reliable LabVIEW applications, including:
- Early-stage static analysis
- Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) generation
- Proactive identification of software weaknesses and vulnerabilities
- Development workflows that continuously surface risk
- Techniques to improve code quality
- Strategies for aligning with evolving regulatory expectations
Attendees will learn how to move beyond reactive fixes and instead build workflows that surface risks earlier and foster more secure, resilient systems.
With real-world insights from test and measurement environments, this talk highlights practical steps teams can take today and how to stay ahead of what's coming next.
Why We Support GDevCon
For JKI, GDevCon represents much more than a conference. It's a community where developers share knowledge openly, challenge each other to improve, and help shape the future of graphical programming.
That's why we're especially proud to be sponsoring GDevCon North America for the sixth consecutive year. Supporting events like GDevCon aligns with JKI's mission to empower engineers with tools, education, and community that help them build better software.
Whether you're attending in Chicago, Brussels, or Melbourne, we hope you'll stop by, say hello, and join us for a conversation about secure development, LabVIEW, and what's next for the community.
We look forward to seeing you at GDevCon 2026!
