CLA Summit 2011: Learn about Public & Private Events

National Instruments' 2011 Certified LabVIEW Architect Summit is nearly upon us.  Today and tomorrow (March 7-8), something in the neighborhood of three dozen CLAs from around the world will convene at National Instruments headquarters for two days of intense argument, er, discussion about what makes LabVIEW great, and what makes a great LabVIEW application!  The theme of this year's gathering is Inter-process Communication and JKI engineer Michael Aivaliotis and myself will be there.

I'll be there to deliver a presentation called "Beyond State Machines: Building Modular Applications in LabVIEW Using Public & Private Events."  If you remember the State Machine vs. State Machine presentation I did with Norm Kirchner and Nancy Hollenback at NIWeek 2010, you know that I touched on a "Public Events" design pattern JKI uses in our applications.  I also hinted at a companion "Private Events" design.  Those concepts received a lot of great interest and feedback, so I've expanded them into a full presentation all their own.

If you'll be in Austin for the summit, I can't wait to see you!  If not, hope to catch you at NI Week in August!
